Board of ISD

The Board of Directors of Instituto Santos Dumont is made up of two representatives appointed by the Board of Directors: the general director, Reginaldo Freitas Júnior, and the administrative director, Jovan Gadioli dos Santos.

The members of the Executive Board are responsible for carrying out the activities inherent to the title of their positions, and must comply with the guidelines and guidelines that are defined in the strategic plans approved by the Board of Directors.

Board Members

Bachelor's Degree in Medicine and Law from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN); PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP Ribeirão Preto). He has a specialization in Business Management (MBA) from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) and in Education for the Health Professions from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) / FAIMER Brazil Institute. He is an associate professor IV of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UFRN and advisor at the Graduate Programs in Neuroengineering (ISD) and Health Education (UFRN).

He is a business administrator from the Catholic University of Brasília (UCB). Postgraduate in Policy, Planning and Management of S&T Development, from the University of Brasília (UnB). He held positions in the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), acting, among others, in the General Coordination for the Execution of Development and in the head of the Office of the Presidency. He was Director of Administration at the National Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), a Social Organization that manages four national laboratories in Campinas (SP).

Administrative Council

The Board of Directors is the higher decision-making body from the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD).

It is composed of representatives of public authorities, civil society organizations, Institute associates and individuals of recognized professional capacity. Advisor's activity is unpaid and consists of periodic meetings to resolve matters such as:

  • The outline of ISD policies, guidelines and strategies;
  • Proposals for a management contract, budget, investment program and action plan for the execution of activities;
  • Financial and accounting statements and annual accounts;
  • Creation and amendment of statutes, internal regulations, own regulations for contracting works, services, purchases and disposals, as well as a plan for positions, salaries and employee benefits;
  • Management and activity reports to be forwarded to the supervisory body for the execution of the management contract;
  • Compliance with defined guidelines and targets.

It represents a civil entity through the organization Fundação José Luiz Egydio Setúbal – Hospital Sabará.​

It represents the government through the Ministry of Education (MEC).​

It represents a civil entity through the National Confederation of Industry (CNI).

Fiscal Council

The Supervisory Board is made up of two members, appointed by the Board of Directors.

The body is responsible for giving an opinion on ISD's balance sheets and financial and accounting performance reports, as well as on equity transactions carried out, issuing opinions to the Board of Directors.
The Audit Committee is also responsible for requesting the Board of Directors to provide supporting documentation of the economic and financial operations carried out at the Institute.

Members of the Audit Board of ISD

She holds a law degree from Universidade Cidade de São Paulo, an MBA in Financial Management from UNIP and a postgraduate degree in Controllership from FECAP. He has 15 years of experience in the corporate market and in the third sector, where he holds management positions in the accounting and financial area, coordinating budget routines, cash flows, accounts payable and receivable, accounting, asset and tax control. It also operates with analysis of financial statements and dialogue with independent auditors. 

Graduated in Engineering from Universidade Mackenzie with a Post-Graduation in Finance from FGV and MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral. He has been working in the areas of Audit, Compliance and Internal Controls in the financial market for 35 years. He worked in independent auditing companies – Ernst Young and Trevisan and in national financial institutions – Unibanco S/A, Unibanco Asset Maagement, Fator S/A Corretora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários and Banco Fator S/A. Works at the Porto group company in the area of managing own and third-party resources as responsible for Compliance and Internal Controls.
