ISD receives evaluation of the Semester Report of the Commission for Monitoring and Evaluation of the Management Contract

Posted in October 28, 2022

The board of directors of the Santos Dumont Institute (ISD) participated on Monday, 24th, in the meeting to present the report produced by the Commission for Monitoring and Evaluation of the Management Contract (CAACG) of the Ministry of Education (MEC), regarding the results presented by the ISD in the first half of 2022. Of the twelve annual goals assessed by the CAACG, ten have already been achieved in this first half, as is the case with the rate of use of postgraduate graduates and the proportion of researchers who author publications.

ISD actions are analyzed every six months, based on the evaluation of indicators that parameterize the effectiveness of the work carried out by the institution's two units: the Anita Garibaldi Health Education and Research Center (Anita) and the Edmond International Institute of Neurosciences and Lily Safra (IIN-ELS). First, the ISD produces the report based on the agreed indicators and sends it to the CAACG, which then evaluates the demonstrated results and issues its opinion, which happened at last Monday's meeting. The submission of the final document, including the Commission's recommendations, will take place in the coming weeks.

According to Laerte Davi Cleto, representative of the Management Secretariat of the Ministry of Economy, the report presented by the ISD to the Commission evolved in several aspects, notably in the transparency and clarity with which it conveys information. “I recognize the work undertaken to improve the quality of communication in the report. During the text, the institution's commitment to the good use of public resources is also clear”, commented Laerte.

The director general of ISD, Reginaldo Freitas Júnior, the administrative director of the institute, Jovan Gadioli, the manager of IIN-ELS, Edgard Morya, the manager of Anita, Lilian Lisboa, and the coordinator of the academic secretariat, Marcelo Carvalho, in addition to the members of CAACG, virtually. Regarding the Commission's recent assessment, the director general of the ISD commented: “Once again I thank CAACG for the work done. We continue to evolve as an institution because we have partners in you who contribute to our development, a catalyst synergy for the constant growth of ISD. Rio Grande do Norte wins, Brazil wins.”

management contract

At the end of 2021, the Ministry of Education renewed the Management Contract signed between the ministerial body and ISD for the next 10 years. The renovation aims at “forming a partnership to carry out integrated teaching, research and extension actions, seeking to establish a scientific technological center in neurosciences and neuroengineering and transforming action in the areas of education”. Monitoring the indicators and results achieved by the ISD is a fundamental process for the partnership to continue to be renewed and reach more potiguars.
