Master in Neuroengineering: Enrollment in the selection process until 01/17/19

O Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute of Neuroscience (IIN-ELS) carries out the selection process for the 2019.1 public notice of its Master's in Neuroengineering. Applications can be made up to January 17, 2019 and information about the selection process can be found HERE. The course lasts two years and is the first master's degree in Neuroengineering in Brazil recommended by Higher Education Personnel Improvement Coordination (CAPES).

Graduates from the areas of Health, Biology (Biology, Medicine, Psychology, etc.) and Engineering (bachelor or degree) can apply for the Master in Neuroengineering at IIN-ELS. 

The professionals selected in the current selection process will study at the IIN-ELS, located in Brain Campus, headquartered in the municipality of Macaíba (RN), about 14 kilometers from the capital Natal.

Profile of graduates of the Master's degree in Neuroengineering

Neuroengineering is an interdisciplinary research area that brings together neuroscience and engineering methods to study the functioning of the nervous system and develop solutions for limitations and dysfunctions associated with it. The Postgraduate Program (PPG) in Neuroengineering at IIN-ELS has two lines of research: Brain-Machine Interface (BMI) It is neuromodulation.

The professional with a Master's Degree in Neuroengineering obtained at the IIN-ELS can work in numerous areas that encompass aspects of experimental, computational, theoretical, clinical and applied research, at molecular, cellular and systems levels. There is room to develop research and technologies in areas such as brain-machine interface, neuromodulation, computational neuroscience and signal processing, rehabilitation, brain-brain interface, prostheses and orthoses, biocompatibility, neurodegenerative diseases, microcephaly, psychiatric diseases and cognition, among others.

Schedule and stages of the selection process 2019.1 – Master in Neuroengineering

I – Registration: 12/17/18 – 01/17/19;

II – Deferment of registrations: 01/18/19;

III – Stage I / Evaluation of documents: 01/21/19 – 01/23/19;

IV – Disclosure of those approved in stage I and scheduling of interviews: 01/24/19;

V - Interviews with those approved in the first phase: 01/28/19;

VI – Announcement of the final result: 02/04/19;

VII – Pre-registration: 02/05/19 – 02/08/19;

VIII - Enrollment: 03/11/19 - 03/15/19;

VIII - Beginning of classes: 03/11/19.
